To compliment my recent post where I discussed my easy morning skincare routine, I thought I would let you in on my evening routine. In the evening my focus is quite a bit different: I’m not in a rush to run out the door so I like to take care and use the process as part of my evening wind-down and relaxation process.
I begin by removing my makeup with cotton pads and Clinique’s Take the Day Off Makeup Remover (not pictured). I have found this makeup remover to be very effective, even with waterproof mascara. I follow up with the Body Shop’s Vitamin E Cream Cleanser, which is incredibly gentle and soothing on the skin, to remove any left over residue or make up. My next step is to apply a clarifying toner, such as Clinique’s Clarifying Lotion, that you may notice is also featured in my Morning Skincare Routine.
My next step is an optional one that I will incorporate into my routine if I have any pesky spots that have emerged. For this, I cannot go past Grease Lightning Spot Treatment by Lush. This is incredible fast acting at reducing spots and smells fresh too.
The most relaxing part of my routine is to apply my Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial. I cannot rave about this serum enough! It is wonderful in every single way. The packaging is streamlined and clean. The product smells just like a facial in a bottle and is extremely silky on the skin. I have certainly noticed a difference in my skin tone and ability to absorb moisture since using this product. I love to massage this into my skin as part of my evening routine.
I finally moisturise my face by applying the Body Shop’s Vitamin E Eye Cream and Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion. This combination sinks into my skin quickly and provides long-lasting moisture throughout the evening, preparing my skin for the next day.
I hope you have enjoyed my morning and evening skincare routines. What are your evening essentials?
